Herbivory
Gorillas eat fruit, but the fruit trees are being cut down. This means that there is less fruit for the gorillas to eat.
|
Predation
Leopards are very opportunistic hunters, sometimes they will even attack a gorilla if they have the chance. However, as fruit trees and the animals that eat them decline in number, the leopard will have less prey.
|
Parasitism
Fleas often find a home in the fur of Mountain Gorillas. As the gorillas decline in number, so will the fleas.
|
Mutualism
Bacteria live in the gorilla's digestive system and help the gorillas to process plant material. When the gorillas die off, the bacteria will lose food and a home.
|
Commenalism
Trees are unaffected by the gorillas who live in the forests. However, as the trees are cut down, the gorillas lose their habitat and also die off.
